A ‘Manager’ is an employee or third party who needs to act on behalf of a business in the Export Service.

A ‘Manager’ has the second highest level of access in the Export Service. You can be added as a ‘Manager' in 2 ways.

1. Be invited

You need to be invited by someone who is assigned a ‘Principal Authority (Owner)’ or ‘Manager’ role in the business.

2. Add yourself

If you are already listed with a business in Relationship Authorisation Manager, opens in a new tab (RAM) as an Authorisation Administrator, opens in a new tab, you can add yourself as a ‘Manager’ in the Export Service.

Roles and access

The Export Service has 4 roles with varying permission and access levels. Each person is assigned a role to ensure they have the correct access level to a business.

For example, some people should have limited access to view information only. Others may need full access to financial transactions and information. For more information, go to Roles and access levels in the Export Service.

Linking a business

All businesses need to be linked to the Export Service via an Australian Business Number, opens in a new tab (ABN) in the Australian Business Register, opens in a new tab (ABR). An Export Service ‘Manager’ can't link a business unless they are Authorisation Administrator in RAM.

Follow these steps.

  1. Create an account or sign in.
  2. Go to the dashboard and select ‘Link a business’.
  3. Follow the prompts to link your business and assign yourself a 'Manager' role.

Once you are set up as a ‘Manager’ you can perform the following tasks.

  • Invite others to the service to act for the business.
  • Manage user access.
  • Set and change notification preferences.
  • Receive department notifications and messages.
  • Manage a registered establishment*.
