Troubleshoot Relationship Authorisation Manager issues

Fix problems related to using RAM for the Export Service.

  • Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)
  • Errors
  • Principal authority
  • Business

Relationship Authorisation Manager, opens in a new tab (RAM) is not part of the Export Service. It is an external service we use to verify people have authority to add a business to the Export Service. For more information, go to What is Relationship Authorisation Manager?.

You only need a RAM authorisation to add a business to the Export Service. You do not need one to accept an invite to a business. For more information, go to Add a business to the Export Service or Invite someone to act for a business.

Here are some common problems you may have when adding a business to the Export Service and where to go in RAM to fix them.

Incorrect RAM authorisation

You can add a business to the Export Service if you are listed in RAM as a principal authority, opens in a new tab or authorisation administrator, opens in a new tab. You cannot add a business if you are listed in RAM as an authorised user.

You can check your authorisation type by signing into RAM with myID. A principal authority or authorisation administrator can change your authorisation type.

For more information, go to Set up authorisations, opens in a new tab.

Department access is not enabled in RAM

To add a business to the Export Service as an authorisation administrator you need to have full agency access to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). You can check your agency access details by signing into RAM with myID.

You cannot change your own agency access. A principal authority or authorisation administrator can change your agency access by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to RAM, opens in a new tab.
  2. Select 'View or manage authorisations'.
  3. Select the business name.
  4. Select 'Edit' next to the employee's name.
  5. Go to 'Agency access' and change DAFF's level of access to 'Full'.
  6. Follow the steps to continue and submit the authorisation.

For more information, go to Manage authorisations, opens in a new tab.
