Troubleshoot Relationship Authorisation Manager issues
Fix problems related to using RAM for the Export Service.
Relationship Authorisation Manager, opens in a new tab (RAM) is not part of the Export Service. It's an external service we use to verify people have authority to act online on behalf of a business.
To use the Export Service for a business, you need to link it in your Export Service account. You do this by linking the business and its Australian Business Number (ABN) in RAM, to your account.
Here are some common problems you may have with RAM when using the Export Service and where to go in RAM to fix them.
RAM does not show the business you need to link
The business you need to link may not appear on the RAM screen for the following reasons:
- You are not a sole trader or eligible individual associate for the business.
- Your details aren't up to date on the Australian Business Register, opens in a new tab (ABR).
- You don’t have a ‘Strong’ identity strength for your myID.
For more information, go to Who is the principal authority, opens in a new tab?
Incorrect RAM authorisation
You may not see the business you want to link on the RAM screen because you don't have the correct authorisation.
For more information, go to Set up authorisations, opens in a new tab.
Unlink a business in RAM
If you no longer need to act on behalf of a business, what you need to do depends on your assigned Export Service role for that business.
Principal authority
If you are listed in RAM as a principal authority and need more information, go to Managing business links, opens in a new tab.
Anyone else
For more information on how to remove your RAM authorisation, go to Manage authorisations, opens in a new tab.
For any other RAM issues go to Contact us, opens in a new tab.
