  • Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)
  • Principal authority
  • Business

Relationship Authorisation Manager, opens in a new tab (RAM) connects businesses to government online services. RAM can verify that a person has authority to act online on behalf of a business.

RAM links to the Australian Business Register, opens in a new tab (ABR). RAM is a separate system to the Export Service and is not managed by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

For more information, go to Why do we use Relationship Authorisation Manager?

Principal authority or business owner

To use the Export Service, a principal authority or business owner must use RAM to link their Digital Identity to a business. For more information, go to Principal authority, opens in a new tab.

They can then sign in to the Export Service with their Digital Identity and link their Export Service account to the business. For more information, go to Link a business.

Authorisation administrator

A principal authority or business owner can also authorise someone else to link the business in the Export Service. To do this, they would add the person in RAM as an authorisation administrator. For more information, go to Authorised users and administrators, opens in a new tab.

The authorisation administrator can then sign in to the Export Service and link their account to the business.
