Add myID or email sign-in to your Export Service account.

You can set up and access your Export Service account using either myID or email sign-in.

Add myID to your account

myID is a secure way to reuse your identity across online government services. In the Export Service, myID helps you prove who you are.

Follow the steps to add myID to your Export Service account:

  1. Go to 'Profile and settings'.
  2. Go to 'Sign-in options' and select 'Add myID'.
  3. Select 'Continue with Digital ID' and follow the steps.

Once complete, you will be signed into your account with your myID, which will be added to 'How you signed in'.

Digital ID and myID identity strength

We recommend a myID with 'Standard' or 'Strong' identity strength.

A stronger identity strength allows you to access more of our services. If you use email sign-in you will have 'Basic' identity strength. You can strengthen your account with myID later if you need to.

Add email sign-in to your account

You don't need to provide identity documents with email sign-in. but it gives you less permissions than myID. Consider the tasks and information you need to access in the Export Service before you choose this option. For example, you can't manage an establishment with email sign-in.

With email sign-in you can:

  • accept an invite to a business in the Export Service.
  • manage access to a business if you are a principal authority or manager
  • view business access if you are a user
  • view messages.

Follow the steps to set up email sign-in:

  1. Go to 'Profile and settings'.
  2. Go to 'Personal details' then 'Sign-in options' and select 'Add email sign-in'.
  3. Enter your email address and select 'Continue'.
  4. Enter the code sent to your email address and select 'Verify'.
  5. Add your personal details in 'Create an account' and select 'Continue'.
  6. Enter your mobile phone number in 'Secure your account' and select 'Continue'.
  7. Enter the code sent by either SMS or a call.
  8. From 'Registration complete' select 'Continue'.

Once complete, email sign-in will be added to your 'Profile and settings'.
