Change a location

What you need to do if a registered establishment moves to a new address.

  • Establishment

If your registered establishment moves to a new location, you need to:

  • revoke the registration at the previous location, and
  • register a new establishment at the new location.

You can Revoke a registration and Register a new establishment in your Export Service account.

You can’t transfer a registration to a new address, even if the business otherwise stays the same. We must assess your new establishment's ability to carry out operations under the Export Control Act 2020, opens in a new tab.

For more information, go to the Registering an establishment section of Exporting from Australia, opens in a new tab.

Change a registered address

You can change the address of a registered establishment if the establishment will stay in the same location and:

  • the registered address is wrong due to an administrative error, or
  • the establishment is in an area that is rezoned.

You may need to provide supporting documents from your local council to confirm the new address.

For more information, go to Change your facilities or equipment.

Change postal address

You can change the postal address of a registered establishment in your Export Service account. For more information, go to Change contact details.
