Add or remove someone in NEXDOC

Follow our steps to add or remove someone's access to NEXDOC.

You can use NEXDOC in 2 ways:

How you add or remove someone's access depends on how you use NEXDOC.

Add someone to NEXDOC in the Export Service

To give someone access to NEXDOC, you must first invite them to your business in the Export Service. For more information, go to Invite someone to act for a business

They'll then need to accept the invite and connect NEXDOC to the Export Service.

Once they've done that, follow the steps to give them access to NEXDOC:

  1. Sign in, opens in a new tab to your Export Service account.
  2. Go to ‘Businesses’ and select the business.
  3. Select ‘Export systems’.
  4. Select ‘Access NEXDOC’.
  5. Select ‘Submit and manage Requests for Export’.
  6. Select ‘Settings’.
  7. Select ‘Manage NEXDOC users’.
  8. Find the person and select ‘Activate’.

Remove someone from NEXDOC

Follow the steps to remove someone's access to NEXDOC:

  1. Sign in, opens in a new tab to your Export Service account.
  2. Go to ‘Businesses’ and select the business.
  3. Select ‘Export systems’.
  4. Select ‘Access NEXDOC’.
  5. Select ‘Submit and manage Requests for Export’.
  6. Select ‘Settings’.
  7. Select ‘Manage NEXDOC users’.
  8. Find the person and select ‘Deactivate’.

The person’s status will change to ‘Inactive’.

They will remain linked to your business in the Export Service, because permissions in NEXDOC and the Export Service are different.

If the person has left the business, you’ll need to remove their access to your Export Service account. For more information, go to Manage who can act for a business

Third party software users

Teams that use NEXDOC via third party software are called ‘client groups’. Client group administrators can add or remove third party software users in NEXDOC.

For more information, go to Add or remove third party software users
