How to be added to management or control
If you need to be listed in management or control on an export licence, ask someone assigned an Export Service role of ‘Principal authority (Owner)’ or ‘Manager’ to add you. To do this, they will need to submit an application to vary the licence.
Sharing of sensitive information
When you invite someone to act for a business, personal and sensitive information may be shared with relevant employees. For you or anyone else listed on the licence, this may include:
- contact details
- responses to the fit and proper person test.
Export Service roles are different to your business role
There are 4 roles in the Export Service: ‘Principal Authority (Owner)’, ‘Manager’, ‘User’ and ‘Agent’. These roles control what you can see and do in the service. They are separate from your position in the business.
For more information go to Roles and access levels in the Export Service.
