How will my export licence process change?
Soon, you can apply online in the Export Service, opens in a new tab for meat and livestock export licences.
What this means for you
When export licences move to the Export Service, opens in a new tab, you won’t need to submit a PDF by email to apply for a new export licence.
You will also be able to apply to renew, vary or cancel an existing licence online. Whether you can submit or only draft and view an application depends on the role and permission level you have been provided.

What you need to do
If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create an account to use the Export Service. Follow the steps in our Licensing step by step onboarding guide to the Export Service.
If you have trouble applying through the Export Service, you can request a PDF application. For meat email exportmeatlicensing@aff.gov.au or for livestock email livestockexp@aff.gov.au.
You do not have to use the Export Service
Using the Export Service will provide a simpler, faster way to apply for, renew, vary or cancel meat and livestock export licences.
It will not be mandatory and you don’t have to do anything now. You will have the option to use the Export Service or follow the existing process to submit a PDF application form.
