Export licence applications will soon be in the Export Service
Meat and livestock export licences are moving online. Find out what you need to do.
What’s changing?
When export licences move to the Export Service, opens in a new tab, you won’t need to submit a PDF by email to apply for a new export licence or to renew, vary or cancel an existing licence.
What you need to do
If you haven’t already, we recommend setting up an Export Service account for your business as soon as possible.
This means you'll be prepared and can minimise any potential disruption to your business. To get ready, follow our Licensing step-by-step onboarding guide to the Export Service.
What you can do in the Export Service will depend on your role and permissions within the business. For more information, go to Export licence roles and permissions.
The ‘Principal Authority (Owner)’ will need to use Relationship Authorisation Manager, opens in a new tab (RAM) to set up an account for the business. Employees can then be invited to the account without needing to use RAM.
You do not have to use the Export Service
Using the Export Service will provide a simpler, faster way to apply for, renew, vary or cancel meat and livestock export licences.
It will not be mandatory and you don’t have to do anything now. You will have the option to use the Export Service or follow the existing process to submit a PDF application form.
To request the PDF form, for meat email exportmeatlicensing@aff.gov.au or for livestock email livestockexp@aff.gov.au.
