Cancel a meat export licence

You can apply through the Export Service to cancel an export licence.

You may need to cancel an export licence if you no longer intend to export your commodity.

If we approve your request, you cannot export with a cancelled licence. If you want to start exporting again you must apply for a new licence.

You must be assigned a ‘Principal authority (Owner)’ role in the Export Service or listed in management or control on an export licence to cancel it.

Follow the steps to apply to cancel an export licence:

  1. Sign in, opens in a new tab to your Export Service account or create an account if you haven’t already.
  2. Go to ‘Businesses’ and select the business.
  3. Go to ‘Manage Licences’.
  4. Select the licence you want to cancel.
  5. Select ‘Cancel this licence’.
  6. Follow the steps and select ‘Submit’.

You do not have to use the Export Service

Using the Export Service provides a simpler, faster way to apply for, renew, vary or cancel meat export licences. It is not mandatory though.

You have the option to use the Export Service or follow the existing process to submit a PDF application form. To request the PDF form, email exportmeatlicensing@aff.gov.au.
