myID and the Export Service
Learn about myID and how we use it in the Export Service.
myID is the Australian Government's Digital ID app. If you choose to sign into your Export Service account with Digital ID, myID is the current option.
You only need to set up your myID once. You can then use it to sign into a range of government services. For more information, go to How to set up myID, opens in a new tab.
myID identity strength
You can set up 'Basic', 'Standard' or 'Strong' myID. A 'Basic' myID strength gives you limited access to our services. A 'Standard' or 'Strong' identity strength gives access to more tasks and information. For more information, go to What identity strength do I need?.
Why we use Digital ID and myID
myID helps you prove who you are online. This ensures the right people are authorised to access business information and tasks in the Export Service. For more information, go to What is Digital ID and why do we use it?.
Don't share your myID
Each person who uses the Export Service must use their own myID. If you share your myID with someone, they could perform tasks they are not authorised to do. You may be liable for any actions they perform. For more information, go to Why should I not share a myID?.
myID and myGov
myID is different to myGov. Your myGov account gives you access to government services such as the Australian Tax Office, Medicare and Centrelink.
myID is a secure way for you to verify your identity across government services. For more information, go to myID, opens in a new tab.
