Change people or details in management or control

Change who can direct export operations for a registered establishment or their details.

You need to include certain people in a registered establishment's management or control. For more information, go to What is management or control?

You may need to change these people occasionally. For example, if you have staff who leave or join your registered establishment or manage it for you.

To apply to add, edit or remove people in management or control:

  1. Sign in to your Export Service account.
  2. Go to 'Businesses' and select the business.
  3. Select ‘Establishments’ or 'Manage establishments'.
  4. Go to ‘Your establishments’ and select the establishment.
  5. Select the ‘Management or control’ tab.
  6. Select ‘Add a person’ to add someone new. Or find the name of a person already in management or control. Select ‘Edit’ to change their details or ‘Remove’ to remove them.
  7. Follow the steps to complete and submit the application.

Changing someone’s details

To change someone’s existing details, you need to add all their details again and submit a new application.

Follow the steps above to edit someone’s details. Make sure their name in management or control matches their Digital ID exactly.

Assessing your application

We need to assess and approve any new person for management or control. To confirm if they are suitable, go to Understanding the fit and proper test, opens in a new tab.

You won't see the person's name in the management or control list while we assess it. But you can see your application if you select the 'Your applications' tab, then 'View' next to the application.
