TRACE permission levels in the Export Service

What you can do in TRACE based on your permission level.

There are 2 permission levels for livestock exporters and 1 for animal reproductive material exporters.

Livestock exporters

If you are a licensed livestock exporter, there are 2 permission levels in TRACE.

Person in management or control

If you are listed in management or control on an export licence, you can:

  • draft and submit a Notice of Intention (NOI) to export
  • vary an NOI
  • view your export licence
  • apply to vary or renew your export licence.

Standard user

A 'Standard' user is someone who's not listed in management or control on an export licence. A 'Standard' user may also be known as a 'Contact' user. They have limited permissions in TRACE.

If you are a 'Standard' user, you can:

  • draft an NOI but not edit or submit it.

Animal reproductive material exporters

If you export animal reproductive material, there's only 1 permission level in TRACE. It gives you full access to TRACE.

You can:

  • draft and submit an NOI
  • view and edit an NOI.

Roles in the Export Service

Permission levels in TRACE are different to roles in the Export Service. For more information, go to Roles and access levels in the Export Service.
