Add, edit or remove a person in TRACE

Change the people who can access TRACE to act for a business.

Add a person

To add people in TRACE, they will need an Export Service account. For more information, go to Create an Export Service account using Digital ID. You may need to invite them to the Export Service.

Follow the steps to add someone to TRACE:

  1. Sign in to your Export Service account.
  2. Go to 'Businesses' and select the business.
  3. Select 'Export systems'.
  4. Select 'Go to TRACE'.
  5. Go to the 'Exporter management' tab.
  6. Select 'Contacts/Users'.
  7. Go to 'Manage Contacts/Users'.
  8. Select 'Add new record'.
  9. Follow the steps and select 'Add'.

The new user will appear in the 'Manage Contacts/Users' list. They can then connect TRACE to their Export Service account.

Use a personal email address, not a generic one

The email address you enter must belong to the person you're adding. Don't use generic emails such as admin@business.com.au.

Using a generic email can cause problems. For example, if someone signs up with that address and tries to connect it to TRACE, it may already be linked to another account.

Edit a person's details

Follow the steps:

  1. Sign in to your Export Service account.
  2. Go to 'Businesses' and select the business.
  3. Select 'Export systems'.
  4. Select 'Go to TRACE'.
  5. Go to the 'Exporter management' tab.
  6. Select 'Contacts/Users'.
  7. Go to 'Manage Contacts/Users'.
  8. Select the pencil icon next to the person you want to edit.
  9. Update the details in the 'Edit Contact' window and select 'Save'.

The updated details will appear in the 'Manage Contacts/Users' list.

Remove a person

Follow the steps:

  1. Sign in to your Export Service account.
  2. Go to 'Businesses' and select the business.
  3. Select 'Export systems'.
  4. Select 'Go to TRACE'.
  5. Go to the 'Exporter management' tab.
  6. Select 'Contacts/Users'.
  7. Go to 'Manage Contacts/Users'.
  8. Select the 'x' icon next to the person you want to remove.
  9. Select 'OK' to confirm.

The person is removed from the 'Manage Contacts/Users' list.
