Revoke a registration and add a new occupier

If someone else plans to register your establishment, you need to revoke its export registration and approved arrangement (if it has one).

You also need to tell us who the new occupier will be. This is the person who will apply to register the establishment. For example, if you sell a registered establishment in the same location to a new business or owner.

Use this application to:

• revoke an establishment’s registration and approved arrangement (if it has one), and
• tell us basic details about the new occupier, including their name, contact details and Australian Business Number (ABN).

You will need to provide your reasons for revoking the registration and the date to revoke it.

After you submit this application:

• notify the new occupier that you have applied to revoke your registration
• the new occupier will need to create an Export Service account if they don't already have one
• they will need to apply to take over the establishment registration.

To revoke your establishment’s registration and add a new occupier:

1. Sign in to your Export Service account.
2. Under 'Your linked businesses', select the business name.
3. In the side menu, select ‘Establishments’.
4. Under ‘Your establishments’, select the establishment name.
5. Select the 'Export operations' tab.
6. Under ‘Revoke your establishment’, select ‘Revoke the establishment and nominate a new occupier’.
7. Follow the prompts to complete and submit the application.
8. Notify the new occupier that you have applied to revoke the establishment.

You will need to provide your contact details or someone else’s for your application. This person must be on the registered establishment’s management or control list.

New occupier

If you are the new occupier, you will need to apply to register the establishment under your business.

To complete the application:

1. Sign in or create an Export Service account.
2. Under 'Your linked businesses', select the business name.
3. In the side menu, select 'Establishments'.
4. In the ‘Apply to register establishment number’ message, select the ‘complete the application’ link.
5. Follow the steps and submit the application.

We’ll assess your application and let you know if we can approve it in email.

Closing your establishment

Don’t submit this application if you will close your registered establishment completely. That is, when you no longer want it to be export registered. To do that, you only need to apply to Revoke a registration.
