Notifications

From time to time, we send you important information about the Export Service. We send notifications to your preferred email to let you know you have messages in your Export Service account.

We recommend not using a shared email as your preferred email address.

If you receive Export Service notifications at the wrong email address, you may need to update your contact preferences.

Notifications are optional

We will only notify you of messages in your account if you want us to.

You can choose to be notified for:

  • all messages
  • only messages marked as important
  • no messages.

For more information, go to Manage contact preferences.

Messages and inboxes

Types of message you'll receive

We send messages that may help you manage your business and about your Export Service activities. These include:

  • changes to the Export Service
  • updates on your applications
  • reminders and alerts.

Types of inbox

My inbox

Everyone with an Export Service account has a personal inbox. This is called 'My inbox' and contains messages sent directly to you.

These messages include:

  • account updates
  • password resets
  • roles or access changes.

This inbox is private and only you can see these messages. It does not contain general messages meant for the business or other team members.

Business inbox

When you're linked to a business, you'll also have access to its inbox.

This inbox contains messages for the whole business. Other team members with access to the account can see them.

These messages include:

  • changes to the Export Service
  • reminders and alerts
  • security messages about business inbox users being added or removed (only certain roles can see these).

Only some roles can see all the messages. For more information, go to Using the Export Service message centre.
