Why do I need a Digital ID for the Export Service?

You need a Digital ID to prove who you are and access the Export Service online. Digital ID provides a convenient, reusable and secure way to verify your identity with us.

It’s a solution used across Australian government agencies including our department. For example, Medicare, Centrelink and the Australian Taxation Office all use Digital ID. Using a Digital ID means you don't have to provide your identity documents every time you do business with us.

Once we know who you are, we can do business with you in your Export Service account. You can then act for an export-registered establishment and do export activities. For example, make changes to an export-registered establishment’s export operations.

myID, opens in a new tab is currently the only Digital ID you can use to access the Export Service.
