Details you need to provide about export products

Find out what you need to tell us about your commodities, products and operations.

When you apply to add or remove a commodity or product, you need to provide details about the products you’ll register for export.

This will help us process your application as quickly as possible.

Examples of details to provide include the following:

  • operation type
  • preservation type
  • product type
  • species or category.

Meat and/or meat products

Examples of details to provide include:

  • operation type: producing, packing, loading, storing, slaughtering
  • preservation type: chilled, frozen, ground, cooked
  • product type: beef cuts, ovine carcasses, offal, runners
  • species: beef, sheep, poultry.

For example, ‘producing chilled offal sheep’ or ‘producing frozen poultry products’.

Dairy and/or dairy products

Examples of details to provide include:

  • operation type: producing, packing, loading, storing
  • preservation type: UHT, powdered, fermented
  • product type: butter, cheese, milk
  • species: cow, goat, sheep, camel.

For example, ‘producing powdered goat milk’ or ‘storing powdered milk’.

Fish and/or fish products

Examples of details to provide include:

  • operation type: packing, producing, storing
  • preservation type: live, frozen
  • product type: fish, lobster, prawns
  • category: wild, farmed.

For example, ‘packing live farmed fish’ or ‘storing frozen wild prawns’.

Egg and/or egg products

Examples of details to provide include:

  • operation type: packing, producing, loading, storing
  • preservation type: chilled, unrefrigerated, frozen
  • product type: eggs in shell or egg products
  • category: dried, cooked, pasteurised, fermented.

For example, ‘storing chilled eggs in shell pasteurised’ or ‘producing eggs in shell’.
