How has my export licence process changed?

You can apply online in the Export Service for meat export licences.

What this means for you

Now that meat export licences have moved to the Export Service, opens in a new tab, you don’t need to submit a PDF by email to apply for a new licence.

You can also apply online to renew, vary or cancel an existing licence. Whether you can submit or only draft and view an application depends on the role and permission level you have been provided.

For more information, go to Export licence roles and permissions.

What you need to do

If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create an account to use the Export Service. Follow the steps in our Licensing step by step onboarding guide to the Export Service.

You do not have to use the Export Service

Using the Export Service provides a simpler, faster way to apply for, renew, vary or cancel meat export licences. It is not mandatory though.

You have the option to use the Export Service or follow the existing process to submit a PDF application form. To request the PDF form, email exportmeatlicensing@aff.gov.au.
