What myID strength do I need?

Set up myID with the identity strength needed to access the Export Service.

  • Account
  • Principal authority
  • Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)
  • myID
  • Digital ID

You need a minimum myID identity strength of ‘Standard’ to access the Export Service.

Business owners and principal authorities

Business owners and principal authorities can link their business to the Export Service. To do this, they must first link the business to Relationship Authorisation Manager, opens in a new tab (RAM).

You can link your business to RAM online if you have a 'Strong' identity strength myID. To gain a 'Strong' identity strength, you must prove you are the same person shown in your identity documents.

This includes verifying your passport and providing a scan of your face to check it matches. In the myID app, select ‘Turn on biometrics' to scan your face.

You can link your business in RAM with a ‘Standard’ strength myID by calling the RAM Helpline, opens in a new tab.

Once you have linked your business in RAM, you can create an Export Service account and authorise others to act for your business.

Employees and third parties

Employees and third parties can access an Export Service account with a 'Standard' strength myID. To gain a 'Standard' myID, you must verify two Australian identity documents.

For more information, go to How to set up, opens in a new tab your myID.
