Proving who you are with a Digital Identity

How people access online government services is changing. As more services move online, most Australians will need a Digital Identity.

A Digital Identity enables people to prove who they are online so they can access government, and other services. It replaces the need to remember passwords and login details.

It's similar to a 100-point identity check you might provide in person.

Digital Identity and myGovID

myGovID is an Identity provider accredited by the Australian Government to create, maintain, or manage information about a person's identity.

You only need to set up your myGovID once and you can use it to log in to a range of online services.
