Who we are

We're building a digital service to help export businesses get their goods to market faster.

The Export Service is provided by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, opens in a new tab. We're part of the Australian government.

It's funded by the Digital Services to Take Farmers to Markets (TFTM) measure. TFTM is 1 of 5 measures within the Busting Congestion for Agricultural Exporters package.

Busting Congestion for Agricultural Exporters

The department was given $328.4 million over 4 years for the Busting Congestion for Agricultural Exporters, opens in a new tab package. It was announced in the Budget 2020–21.

The package is a part of the government's Economic Recovery Program for Australia, opens in a new tab after the effects of COVID-19.

Busting Congestion aims to improve the experience of Australian agricultural producers and export businesses. It will:

  • help cut red tape and get products to export markets faster
  • reduce the time and cost to deal with government
  • support jobs in rural, regional and remote Australia
  • help grow our agriculture sector into a $100 billion industry by 2030.

Digital Services to Take Farmers to Market

TFTM aims to deliver modern export systems. It will provide better services to Australia’s agricultural producers and export businesses. It enables us to:

  • move our export systems online
  • provide a digital experience – the Export Service – for transactions between exporters and government
  • streamline processes
  • offer faster and more cost-effective services.
